  • I just had a dream that I was about to sleep with Christopher Nolan even though he was married, but then I ended up in some kind of prison in an underground parking structure where robotic guns shot anything narrow so everyone had to wear bulky winter clothes. Nolan was somehow one of the people responsible for this horror. We left the place by sitting on skateboards for some reason and rolled to the bank to deposit some money. I tried to ask why, if it was that easy to escape, they didn’t just all leave and not go back, but no one gave me a good answer.

  • You guys, a few days ago I had a dream that I met Karl Urban and flirted with him, and while I was dreaming this I thought, “I need to write about this on tumblr, because those bitches are always having dreams about Karl Urban too.”

I don’t know if you really are all having dreams about Karl Urban, but I sincerely hope so.

  • I keep having dreams about my ex-boyfriend (who I split with in 2009) trying to get back together with me, and I’m like, ugh, no! I am in a very happy relationship. Go away!

Normally, I don’t think my dreams are much other than randomness, but in this case it really seems like my brain is trying to do something for me - added to the fact that they are emotional enough for me to actually remember them. It really bothered me that he was the one to end the relationship, when I should have done it myself YEARS earlier. So it seems like my subconscious is giving me opportunities to reject him.

Either that, or it’s just random.

(Also, why is it happening now and not 2 years ago?)

Last night I had a long, elaborate dream about making a gif of my own face. I was winking, and I looked so cute.

I have never made a gif before, and I think my brain confused me with my cat, because I squee over her, not over my own face.

  • Been sleeping all afternoon.

Had a dream that my ex who I haven’t seen/spoken to in 3 years started texting me, and didn’t realize we were broken up. Awkward.

  • Warning: description of gross spider dream below

I dreamed last night that I was trying to kill a spider. It was just a regular daddy-long-legs, but it was one of my usual frustration dreams, so it didn’t occur to me to just put on some shoes and step on it. I tried to squish it with my sock feet, but I was afraid it would bite me. I got some of its legs to fall off, but it kept going.

Then it climbed on to some towel I had hanging from an indoor clothesline (apparently) and I swatted it with something. Clear liquid came pouring down from it - like water, but thicker. And way too much for that tiny spider to actually hold. It puddled on the floor. Then the spider fell and the liquid continued to stream down from the towel where it had been. Gross.

I wouldn’t be that determined to main and kill a harmless spider in my waking life, but it was very important in the dream.

Wasn’t all bad though. My dead grandfather was in it (alive), and it’s always kind of amazing how you can can really experience the presence of someone you’ve lost and interact with them in your dreams.

  • I had some serious inception-style dreams last night.

Okay, not all actiony and exciting, but lots of dreams within dreams.

For instance, I dreamed that I saw this cool tower (something like the Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome), and when I woke up, I wanted to draw it on the wall beside the bed, which was a chalkboard. So I woke up and drew it in a few strokes and it was beautiful. Then, I woke up from that dream and tried to draw the tower on the wall, only I couldn’t draw a proper even curve for the top. I kept trying, and erasing it, and trying again, but it was always uneven. Frustration dreams: my most common variety.

Then I woke up for real and remembered those three levels of dream.

    OR DID I?
